At the heart of the studio is a 32 channel Yamaha PM2000 analogue console. Built in the late 1970s, this mixing board is transformer based, has simple and smooth EQ, and headroom to spare, making it a great partner for the Radar. Radar is a 24 channel converter and recorder with superb A/D and D/A converters and analogue circuitry.
Accompanying the PM2000 is a selection of quality outboard preamps, microphones and outboard effects. This gear, coupled with a computer running Nuendo and three Universal Audio DSP cards, provide for a great blend of analogue and digital technology.
